I am going to be honest here, I have never tried Progesso before! I’ve seen the coupons every week and even bought a few cans but they never moved from my pantry (i know, it’s horrible). So when I received the prize pack I decided to give it a try and see how good it is. And to be honest… I really liked it! I will say 2010 has been quite a year for myself and my household! There have been some great feets and some sorrowful moments this year that have really made it impressionable for me.
Februrary 2010 – I started the blog! It’s so weird to think that it was only February that I started, it feel like years to me! But some wonderful years (not the dreadful drawn out type. I have thoroughly enjoyed my site and have so many fantastic things planned for 2011 I can’t wait.
In fact this is a good time to let you guys in on how fantastic of a husband I have. We have decided that if all is possible, i won’t be returning to work. In stead he is willing to work major overtime to help me realize my dream of working on my site, doing some extreme budgeting so we can pay off some things and be able to be a stay at home mom when the time comes.
I am so excited about this and I have given our finances and my site itself over to God, I know he’s given me this platform for a reason and I want to use it in whatever way he has planned for me. How can I ask God to bless something that I won’t give him say in? That’s something i’ve realized lately and something that is changing. I’m not going to worry about who I offend if I mention God or my faith, if I honor his will I know he will bless me.
April 2010 - My mother and I lost a dear woman in our lives named Suzanne. It is still hard to think that she’s gone and still a bit unbelievable, my mother still has hard times about losing her best friend, this was a woman with the biggest heart I have ever seen and was a true blessing to have in both our lives.
May 2010 - Hubby and I celebrated our 3 year anniversary and I am so grateful that we have made it through the hard times, I couldn’t ask for a better husband or man in my life.
June 2010 – Yes, I hit the big 2.5 that’s right, a quarter of a century. This may not be much to some but it hit me HARD. I’ve slowly learned to deal with the fact that i’m not a kid anymore, that I enjoy sitting around chatting with a cup of coffee or that for Christmas and Birthdays all I want are mops, tupperwear, blankets, etc. I think I am finally okay with being an adult.
September 2010 - This was an extremely hard month for me and I think I am just not starting to adjust back to what is now my normal life. I lost both my job of 3 years and my grandfather in the same week.
While I am now grateful that I lost my job because I saw the company going under, paychecks were getting later and later or bouncing, etc. I was upset at first because I didn’t know what i’d do, I didn’t know how we would survive. I was angry at the company for the way they managed finances because I knew it didn’t have to come to what it did but what happened happened and now I see it as a blessing. I’m not stressed out anymore as to whether or not my paychecks will clear, I am finally at peace about our finances and I have no job!
But the blessing of losing my job came when my grandfather passed 3 days later, unexpectedly really. He was having complications but the man never told anyone, i think partly because he was ready to go. If you don’t know, my grandmother has Alzheimers and he has spent the last 15 years taking care of her morning to night, he never allowed her to be put in a home. But years of doing that took their toll on him and he was ready, we knew at the end he was ready.
I miss him dearly, he was my first real major loss. Losing a man who I always thought would just be there forever was hard, I still miss his comments about how dumb the Government is, how we need to change this and this, and stories of how things used to be. I miss him a lot. And since his passing my mother has moved in to take care of my grandmother and I go up twice a week to relieve her and give her a few nights at home. It’s a hard situation all around, one I would never wish on anyone. But with losing my job I am able to help her out with my grandmother and everything else, God had a plan and perfect timing on things.
Upcoming 2011 – I have some major plans that I am forcing myself to follow through with!
We are going to pay off debt, it WILL happen and I will make sure it happens.
The site is going to get some fantastic new segments such as helpful posts on couponing, living on a REAL budget and more.
I will start doing some video blogging to a) help with my fingers and b) you’ll see how southern and country I really am
I will post more about marriage because that is a huge thing for me, I may be young but trust me I have been through enough to know what does and doesn’t work and i’ve almost lost everything over trying to be the “perfect wife” and I don’t want to see other people go through what we went through.

And who knows what else I may do, I just know that this is the year to really do what i’ve always dreamed of but never had to guys to step out of my comfort zone and go for, and since i’ve been forced out of my comfort zone there’s no better time than now!
