Snow snow go away… come again next Winter

(picture from a few weeks back when it had just started to snow and we ended up being stuck at the house due to the driveway being iced over, which will probably happen again today!)

I was sent home by my office today due to the snow, it started at my house about 5 or 6 this morning and by the time I got home at 10:30 from work the roads were icy (almost got run off the road by a massive truck TWICE because he would cut me off & throw gobs of snow on my windshield to where I couldn’t see a thing)

Now my DSL is acting funky and goes on and off so I am tired of even trying to mess with it. Maybe i’ll take today and pick up the house and try to learn my sewing machine!

Life without t.v and husband

Our T.V has been flashing a message to us for a week saying we needed to replace our lightbulb, but I was giving it time because I figured “It’s just trying to give us a heads up, it will be awhile before it goes”. Boy, was I wrong. Tried to watch the news this morning before work and yup… no T.V. And it’s going to cost $200 to get a new bulb! Therefor… we will be without T.V for awhile. :)

My hubby is gone to a gig in South Carolina and the T.V is dead so what do I do with a nice quiet night, just me and the dogs? I look up videos of my all time favorite musical, CATS by Andrew Lloyd Webber, and sing along with them. (yes, I am one of “those” that cannot carry a tune but doesn’t care!)

And for your viewing pleasures, my videos of the evening ;
Jellicle Songs for Jellicle Cats

Mungojerrie And Rumpelteazer

Magical mr. Mistoffelees

Grizabella : Memory (I love this song)

Yay, I am excited. My scanner came in today and it’s bigger than I expected!

Well okay the box is bigger than I expected and there’s tons of paperwork to read up on. But I am excited to get started and after hubby looked through the catalog of prizes to redeem for he got rather excited for me too (or for him… not sure yet on that one).
Now I am just letting the battery charge up and it’s time to play! Enter all the info. so my next shopping trip i’ll be ready to go.

I will keep you guys updated on how my new learning experience is going with the Nielsen, but so far I’m excited! (have I said that yet?)

I have a wonderful hubby

I must take a minute to brag about how wonderful my hubby is. First off (a bit of history on us) he proposed after only 4 months of us being together and we were married a year later. No one really thought we would last, we were always told it was too fast. But in my opinion and experience… when you know… you know. There’s no question, no hesitation, it just feels right. We have had our major ups and downs and there were time I didn’t even think we would last, but we came out stronger than ever. I have to say at almost 3 years of marriage… I am more in love with him today than I was the day we got married.

That being said… now it’s time to brag. We both get up at about the same time in the morning, close enough that he can wake me up every day since I seem to sleep to any and every alarm clock I own. Well today he had to leave early to work and was super sweet enough to call me to make sure I was up and tell me he had set the timer on the coffee for me so it was ready. Now, if you don’t know me… I have to have my morning coffee to get me moving. I drink two cups at home and two or three when I get to the office (yes, way too much coffee, I know).

Him doing that just made my day. And on top of all of that… he keeps reminding me that our Anniversary is coming up. Not our wedding anniversary… no no… the day we actually started dating. What man remembers these things?! Sad part is… I have absolutely no clue what day it is! I keep begging for hints or something and I get nada. I have no idea what the date is that we officially started dating, no clue! How am I going to find out? I remember last year on our “date anniversary” he bought me a set of hampers I had been wanting for awhile from Target. So what is this thrifty wifey going to do? That’s right… I am going to go all the way back on our online bank account to the end of Feb. last year and see what date he shopped at Target. I know… this is sad… 4 years together and every year he pops up with something sweet on our “date anniversary” and every year I cannot remember what day it falls on.

Not this year though! I am going to beat him to the punch and surprise him with actually knowing the date!

I love this man… I really truly do.
