I had the wonderful opprotunity to check out the iHealth – iBaby Monitor first hand from Best Buy! The first thing that caught my eye about the product was of course… video! The fact that I can not only hear what’s going on but also see first hand is fantastic because let’s face it, sometimes your imagination tends to run wild of things like this!

the iHealth – iBaby Monitor lets you monitor your child’s movements by simply swiping your ipad, iphone or clicking with your mouse! Not to mention it actually allows you to speak to your child so you can soothe them when you see them getting agitated or upset. Now this of course in no way replaces you actually being there but if you put the little one down for a nap it makes it simple and easy to monitor and talk to them if needed!

I tested it out with my PC because with baby pickles on the way I want to be able to work but still monitor him/her when I am in my office and the baby is in the nursery. I have one computer set up for my work and one set up for music/news/etc. so I set up the monitor on the second system so I can watch the nursery the entire time I work!

Since the nursery isn’t set up just yet I decided to actually test it in the living room with my dogs to keep an eye on them and see what they were getting into when I wasn’t in there.

Instillation was easy for my PC, simply entered the disc they provided to install. Set up the monitor to my router and attached the antenna to configure it for Wifi use. Once the disc installed the system I had to “search” to configure the IP address and locate the monitor.

Once everything was set and ready to go I was able to view my living room in all it’s glory (or not so much glory.. it is just a living room after all). but I absolutely love the smooth movement of the monitor, clear video and the ability to record! Not to mention with the availability to view online you can leave the baby with the baby sitter and check the video monitor anytime from your iphone, ipad or online so you always know what’s going on!

All in all I am in love with this monitor and plan to use it as long as it lasts, from baby years to toddler to the younger years where I can see what they’re getting into!

I had the wonderful opportunity to work with a great local photographer here in Georgia, Callie B Photography! And I am super excited to share some of the fantastic photos she took of hubby and I but  first I have to say how patient, sweet and professional Callie was during the entire process. She listened to what we wanted and even let me try to ‘direct her’ a few times when it came to a headshot photo of me. Never once did she get annoyed (and I can be very picky lol) she was truly fantastic throughout everything!

Not only that but she took tons and tons of photos and one comment she made to me really stuck out “I’d rather take a lot of photos than not enough, I want you to like the end results” which I really loved. Because we all know why we get photos done… so we can remember special moments in our lives and having plenty of photos to choose from makes it even easier!

She took a LOT of photos and sent them all over on a disc within’ just a few days to me, very quick and it even came with a release to have them printed off myself at a local drug store or you can use mpix.com.

I was sent a pair of dENIZEN Levi Brand Jeans for my hubby to try out and it just so happened that they came in around the same time I snagged some fantastic clearance jean deals for him also. So, needless to say my hubby had a huge pile of jeans sitting on our blanket chest, including the dENIZEN pair he got to review.

After a few weeks I finally got him to go through all of them and verify what fit properly and what didn’t so it could be donated. He tried on 10 pairs, 9 of the $20+ jeans (I paid $1.98 each) and 1 of them the dENIZEN pair. He likes his jeans to fit perfectly (he is more anal than I have ever been about jeans) not too much sag or too tight, comfortable around the waist and a good length. Out of all 10 pairs he tried on there was one pair he loved and told me on the spot to find more of those because they fit him perfect. So I checked the tag and sure enough.. they were the dENIZEN pair, not the pair I scored a super super great clearance deal on.. but this pair.

So I said okay, I will find more. I will be honest my first worry was that they were $50 jeans that I was going to have to go out and spend a butt load on for him and my frugal mind automatically started working, trying to think of ways to score a great deal. I was however very pleased to find out that this pair he loved so much… this pair he just had to have more of were only $20 at Target. Score!

$20 is cheaper than what I pay for my jeans so I was definitely shocked but even more excited, I can rack up three pairs of these compared to what I was expecting! And the fact they they fit him perfectly just sweetens the deal… because I am frugal, and I am a deal watcher.. and I would buy my hubby jeans that were just “ok” as long as they fit and the price was right.

I was sent a lovely set of treats from D-Lish Sweets & Treats to try out and I have to say… I loved them! We are big on sweets in my house, especially the hubby, but I always try to keep them limited as much as possible for our own good, haha. But we do like to score some awesome treats every once and awhile and cupcakes are my big one, I absolutely love a cupcake!

The cupcakes came in a nice little plastic container and I even got my own tube of icing. Awesome right?! I was so excited just to be able to do my own icing! But… as you can see above… I am no professional. I honestly have no clue what I am doing so it just looks like a total disaster really. But that’s okay, I don’t know anything about decorating cakes or anything else and I have come to terms with that.

I did pack on the chocolate icing though, what good is a cupcake without the right amount of icing, right? Right. So after I iced them all up I got to finally try them out and loved it! They were delicious. I had to stop myself after two so I could leave some for the hubby even though I didn’t want to.
