My living room has been through a lot in the last 4 months. Now that we finally have it painted and looking normal I thought I’d share the transformation!
When we first bought the home at the end of October last year the walls were sprayed (crappy) an off white and there was a large fireplace right in the middle. This is not a large living room by any means…. there was no function for furniture with that fireplace.
So my husband decided one morning to take off the heart and put our couch in front of it since we didn’t have the money to rip it out or paint at the time. So for two months my living room looked like this…. and drove me nuts!
In January we finally got to start the transformation of removing the fireplace! (This was an exciting day for me!)
This was much better than the hearth and stone behind my couch but still drove me nuts to look at. So this past weekend we were finally able to paint! And this is our finished job!
We were worried about the pups brushing against the wall and rough housing but i was really proud, they did a wonderful job of being our audience!
And now all the furniture is back in and my living room finally feels like… a living room. (We are still missing the curtains, hubby has not put those back up yet)
