I am thrifty through and through, I will be the first to admit it. If I see an item or product that I want but I don’t like the price I know there has to be something out there that offers the same quality at a better price. It’s just common logic to me, there’s always a deal out there you just have to be willing to look for it!
Hubby and I have been wanting a surround sound system in the living room for a long while now but I haven’t liked any of the prices i’ve seen. I don’t see why I need to pay over a grand for surround sound, I can think of so many other things I would rather spend that money on.

It doesn’t require running wires through the walls/ceiling, mounting speakers in the corners of the room or any of that, it’s a simple single-cabinet, wireless, home theater system! These systems fit directly underneath most T.V’s depending on the weight and they blend in and look fantastic, not to mention it minimizes the clutter which I absolutely love. Our living room is small as it is so the less clutter the better.
I got the chance to review the Z-Base 550 System which I am highly, highly impressed with! Everything is inside this compact cabinet – speakers, amplifier, virtual surround circuitry and powered subwoofer.
The instillation was easy, our T.V was a bit too wide in the base to fit on the system properly so hubby built a quick box to fit the system in between our T.V and entertainment stand. Much easier and cheaper than buying a new entertainment stand (which is what I tried to talk him into). I’m super satisfied with the results and love how it looks and I love the cost of it, next to nothing.
The sound is honestly amazing, just switching between the normal sound from our T.V and the Zvox system it was like night and day.
The first night we used it we were actually watching a live special that was being held in an auditorium, the sound was very basic through our T.V but when I turned that off and switched the system on you almost felt like you were in the auditorium. I could hear the slight echo, the actors speaking sounded fantastic it was honestly a totally different sound than I ever got from the speakers on my T.V.
All in all I am in love with this system, it’s so enjoyable to really hear some true sound when we watch a movie!
